Clean, wash and cut the palak. Keep it aside.
Cook Toor dhal in the pressure cooker with 1 spoon oil and turmeric powder.
Place a kadai on the stove.
Add oil. When it is hot add mustard seeds.
When it splutters add jeera.
Add chopped onions.
When it becomes golden brown add tomatoes and salt.
Saute for 5 minutes.
Add saunf powder.
Add Palak and saute for 3 more minutes.
Add cooked dhal.
Mix well and keep it on the stove until palak is cooked well.
Transfer the dish to serving bowl.
Toor dhal contains protein and palak contains iron. So best for kids.
